We would like to invite the Down Syndrome Association to have a booth
at the Second Annual Youth and Family Volunteer Fair. Graciously the fee
has been waived this year for all organizations due to a grant from
L’Oreal Paris.
St Louis Volunteen.com and The St Louis Magic House will host the 2nd
Annual St Louis Youth and Family Volunteer Fair on Sunday, April 10, 2011
from 1-4PM. The Volunteer Fair provides and opportunity for nonprofit
organizations to promote and share the mission with the St Louis
community. St Louis families and youth can learn about volunteer
opportunities or ways they can contribute to a community nonprofit.
We plan to host over 30 organizations at the event that will promote
volunteer opportunities for youth and families in the St Louis community.
Weekends and summers provide a great opportunity for youth to
volunteer with an organization. Many schools have volunteer service
requirements. The Fair provides an opportunity for students to easily
obtain information, sign-up and even meet volunteers from nonprofits
organizations.
We hope you can participate and/or send some of your youth volunteers to
share information, hand out literature and discuss the needs of your
organization and benefits of volunteering and/or things families can do to
help from volunteering on site to donating: office equipment, food items,
office supplies and/or sports equipment.
Please let me know if you have any questions! We look forward to hearing
from you. Since there is limited space at the fair, please let us know
as soon as you can! Thanks, Jake
Thanks,
